One of our favourite things about travelling or extended stays in other cities is taking the time to get to know a place beyond the obvious attractions. There is a distinct difference between how a tourist moves through a place and how a local spends their leisure time enjoying the area they’ve had many years to discover. When travelling, we try to seek out locals to get advice on how to see the day to day attractions, and when approached for information about what to see and do in our home of Vancouver, we try to give advice in that same spirit.
Vancouverist is a home for the local advice we’ve been emailing and posting on other sites for years; it’s a resource for anyone who is only passing through Vancouver for a single day, or those spending a few months living and working here; and most of all, it’s a way for us to help people like you get the most out of what can sometimes feel like an awkward and bland city with a few nice mountains in the background.
If you’ve found this site to be a useful resource during your time in Vancouver, please take a moment to leave a comment or give us a shout out on your blog, Facebook, Twitter, or any other social media account!
